Service Description

UKDataAPI provides programmatic access to enriched UK government data through a REST API, MCP server, and x402 payment protocol.

Data Licensing

All government data is sourced under the Open Government Licence v3.0. You may use the data for any lawful purpose. Attribution: "Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0."

Acceptable Use

You may not: use the API to build a competing data aggregation service, exceed your plan’s rate limits programmatically, misrepresent API responses as your own proprietary data without attribution, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

API Access

API keys are issued per account. Do not share your API key publicly. We reserve the right to revoke keys that violate these terms. Rate limits are enforced per plan tier.

Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. Check /status for current service health.

Pricing and Billing

Subscription fees are billed monthly in EUR via Stripe. Credits do not roll over between billing periods. x402 payments are processed in USDC on Base Mainnet and are non-refundable.

Limitation of Liability

UKDataAPI provides data as-is from government sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of upstream government data. Maximum liability is limited to fees paid in the preceding 12 months.

Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. On termination, your API key will be deactivated and unused credits will be forfeited.
